I just don’t get tattoos
July 27, 2008 4:24 pm ThoughtsCall me old-fashioned, call me naive, but I just don’t get back tattoos. I mean, what’s the point of spending the cash on the ink if you don’t ever get to see it. Also, getting a tattoo with text on your chest. It just seems like for the rest of your life, you’re going to be reading it backwards. Yeah, it looks cool in photos, but you probably see photos of your chest a lot less frequently than you see your chest in the mirror after a shower. Unless you’re Tupac. I bet he saw a lot of photos of his chest.

I’m with you on this. Isn’t it time for this whole body art and/or self-mutilation fad to fade?

Meh. The hubbie (ex-Navy) has several, and I like ‘em all right. My main reason for not getting one, myself? I know I’m too indecisive and in two years, I’d hate it. Maybe that’s why a lot of tattoos go on the backside - so if you end up not loving it, you don’t *have* to see it daily! lol

Actually, not seeing them every day is what keeps me from getting bored with them. Every once in a while I catch sight of them in the mirror and think, “Hey! Cool tats!”
Of course, I see my tits every day in the mirror and say almost the same thing about them, so maybe I wouldn’t get bored with the tats, either.
