This Week in DSI
June 10, 2005 Friends No CommentsI’ve been thinking for a while that I would like to start up a blog carnival just for DSI, where everyone could send in their best blog entry of the week, and I would publish links to all of them in one entry. But then I decided that would be lame, since a) I would need to do it weekly, and b) I usually read all that crap, so why not do This Week in DSI whenever I damn well please?
The rules: Each person will get no more than one link to a specific post on the DSI boards, their blog, the IRC, YesAnd, and whatever else I stumble across. (But hey, there’s always a link to your blog on the right, right?) I’ll take suggestions whenever, but I’ll only publish stuff from the seven days leading up to when I write This Week in DSI.
For the week of June 3 - June 10, 2005.
Katy Jack wins the award for best last line this week, suggesting that we poop on all Iraqis, while beau Scott Jennings gets the chance to shine and drops the ball. Paul Overton is way cooler.
CeCe Garcia arrived in Ecuador and sends home pictures, but you didn’t have to go far to do all sorts of neat stuff, including Doc South, if Ryan Stone’s crazy publicity work is to be believed (and it is!)
Can it be long before Ethan Kaye turns this thread into more comedy gold? I guess you’d have to be a wizard to do that… or, as Kit FitzSimons points out, an improviser. (He’s lucky that he got it on the boards, as we all suffered through the attack of Turkish Hacker, who went on to pwn CIN. But Dan Telfer summed up the experience nicely.)
This was a happy week for J-Sizzle, but Jason Curtis, who is fighting off icky mono, fared less well. You’d be sour if all you had to preoccupy yourself was daytime TV. Of course, the best post this week is the one that waited until the end to tell us Pete and Jen O’Bryan’s good news. Congrats, Pete and Jen!
That’s all for This Week in DSI, but I’ll leave you with the immortal words of Scott Jennings– “Do something! For the love of God, do something!”
