When I Think of Waking Up, I Do Not Think of Your Enormous Ceramic Head

Right now, Ladybug is asleep on the couch, and I am half-watching Big Daddy on USA. Big Daddy is all right, but I’m seriously in love with the Burger King commercials with the creepy ceramic-head king sneaking up on people and offering them greasy food.

I have not seen these commercials before, though I have heard people talking about them. This is first time I have watched live television with commercials in quite some time and really had the volume on. I mean, yeah, some commericals have been showing during basketball games, but I am usually listening to Woody on the radio at the time!

Keep in mind that while I am enjoying the commercials, that ceramic head does NOT make me want to eat. I liked the Subservient Chicken, too, but I swear to God, you cannot make me eat chicken at a Burger King ever, ever again.

Ladybug has been upset today. I’m not sure what has her so upset; she was a little grumpy last night but has been truly, deeply grumpy today. It’s frustrating to know that she’s down and there’s nothing I can do to make her feel better, and that I may never really know the full confluence of events that’s gotten her down. You share so much of your life with someone, and sometimes you forget that you are so distinct. Isn’t that horrible? I’m aware every single day of the week that we enjoy amazing independence and autonomy in our relationship, and yet, I lose sight of it too.

Great Commercial

The video that you’ll find at this link location was delivered to my inbox, titled “Best Commercial Ever.” It’s quite clever. However, if you don’t want your co-workers to wonder, wear some headphones or play it from home. It’s not profane, it’s safe for work, but it might be a wee bit jarring.
