From My Couch
January 4, 2005 Thoughts No CommentsI’ve spent the last few days sick. Not that I was ever all that well from my cold which began before Christmas, but I woke up Sunday with a little chill and a tickle in my throat, and as people were celebrating here at my house, I felt steadily worse and worse. I’ve been on an erratic sleep schedule since then, which has caused me to miss all kinds of stuff.
If my sleep has been erratic, I simply can’t imagine how this woman feels. Perhaps in the future, global terrorists won’t need weapons, they will just hijack our sleep circuits.
I almost missed Tiff Morningstar’s 29th birthday. A happy day to her.
Chris brought the rent and mail by, and there was a card from Dan and Alia with this in it. Yay! That is mucho-super-cool!
It’s good to see that the American justice system works. Taxpayers spent $4.2 million prosecuting Terry Nichols, despite the fact that an animatronic Chuck E. Cheese could probably have put together a solid case and gotten the guy convicted. Happiest of all are the charges for lawn care for a prosecutor and hemorrhoid medicine for an ailing juror.
