I bought City of Heroes yesterday and brought it home, all excited to play. I didn’t even consider that the video card couldn’t handle it– the computer is less than six months old! But sure enough, no dice… so now I’ll either have to sell the game and my account… or get a better video card. And I think you can guess which option I will choose. The expensive one.
Anyone got good recommendations on nVidia cards?

How’s this for dramatic changes of fortune: I was contacted yesterday by a writer doing a story for Modern Bride magazine. I won’t tell you too much about what we discussed, but I will tell you this: my blog post about Nic’s wedding invitations came up, and she got me wondering whether or not I’m going a little groomzilla. (Great term, that.) She’ll probably be contacting Ladybug in the next few days, too, so there’s a good chance that the couple of the century will be appearing in print!
Those who have known me well for many years, particularly you, Ben Moser, can go ahead and shut your yaps about how completely lame I am to do such a ridiculous turnaround from perennial bastard/bachelor to sappy, silly wedding-magazine fodder. (Sappy and silly are modifiers for me, not for the wedding magazine. I don’t know if the wedding magazine is sappy or silly. I don’t read wedding magazines. I swear. And I’m not about to go check out their website. And if I were, I would be doing so only to verify that it is a reputable publication.)
