Geeking Out… and MATT PACK!
November 18, 2003 Friends, Technology No CommentsAt some point in the not-too-distant future, I intend to create a monster entry detailing how UNC students and faculty can set up Moveable Type in their personal AFS webspace. help.unc.edu has some reference materials, but they’re difficult. They mention some steps, but not very clearly, and they certainly don’t tell novices like me a damn thing about Perl.
We’re patching Blackboard at work today, which would make things very easy for me if it went well. I’ll test that as soon as this entry is done, and then I’ll tweak week 2 of my course, and then maybe I will come back here and detail the long journey to MT in AFS.
I’ve spent two blissful evenings at home. I organized my comic books Sunday, so the 14 longboxes that are alpahbetized are all in order, and I began to alphabetize some of the stuff that I had read and bagged but not taped or filed. Sooner or later I will get myself down to one longbox of unread stuff. Reading 8-9 months of a title is pretty awesome, though, I must admit. Which is good. I realized I have 20 months of Avengers and 22 of Iron Man waiting for me. Last night, Heidi and I watched Real Women Have Curves, then Matt Pack called and we talked for 45 minutes. Could anyone be as cool as Matt Pack?
