So, some chump-ass car company is advertising their newest gas guzzler as an XUV, instead of an SUV. What the hell?

First off, stop it with the use of X when the word you’re including in the acronym is extreme. This should be an EUV. Got it? Why is the letter X so awesome?

Secondly, is anyone fooled by this? Is someone out there thinking that GM has suddenly unlocked one of the secrets of the universe, defied the laws of physics, or built an SUV with a jet engine? What makes this vehicle more eXtreme than any other bloated, environmentally-unfriendly Jeep knockoff?

Grr. I hate American automotive culture.

Note to soccer moms: You do not need an XUV any more than you need that Hummer.
